Moorditj Koort Aboriginal Health and Wellness Centre is a community controlled, not-for-profit organisation supporting the health and wellness of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people living in the Kwinana and Rockingham area.
Founded in 2010, the organisation has grown significantly and now provides Care Coordinators, Health Promotion Specialists and visiting Specialists on site.
Our aim is to be a professional, independent, all-inclusive organisation that offers culturally secure health and wellbeing services to our local Aboriginal community.
We do this by developing and strengthening the relationship between local health services and the community, while also improving the planning, evaluation and delivery of health services.
Moorditj Koort is proud to offer a range of programs and services designed to support the health and wellbeing of our local community, and we acknowledge the Whadjuck people as traditional custodians of the lands on which we deliver our services.
We also recognise and respect elders within the Kwinana and Rockingham Aboriginal and Torres Strait Island community – especially the “Muriperdup” Aboriginal Health Action Group for their continued partnership, guidance and support in establishing our Centre.
