Moorditj Koort Aboriginal Health and Wellness Centre is a community controlled, not-for-profit organisation that supports the health and wellness of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people living in the Kwinana and Rockingham Community.
Founded in 2010, the organisation has grown significantly, allowing for us to provide Care Coordinators, Health Promotion specialists and visiting Specialists onsite.
Our aim is to be a professional, independent, all-inclusive organisation that offers culturally secure health and wellbeing services to our local Aboriginal community. We will do this by developing and strengthening the relationship between local health services, agencies and the community, and to improve the planning, evaluation and delivery of health services.
We have a wide range of programs and services on offer to aid our community and are proud to be providing this support.
Moorditj Koort would like to acknowledge the Whadjuck people, the traditional custodians of the lands on which we deliver our service.
Moorditj Koort also acknowledges the elders of the Kwinana and Rockingham Aboriginal and Torres Strait Island community, and especially acknowledges “Muriperdup” Aboriginal Health Action Group for their continued partnership, guidance and support in the establishment of the Centre.
