Wendy – Business Administration Manager
“Improving the health of all, getting in early with the children gives all a better opportunity to grow and flourish”
For the staff at Moorditj Koort, if you’ve got a question, Wendy’s got the answer!
Tell me a little bit about yourself, where you’re from, what you studied, or worked as before MK.
I was retired, 5 years in fact!
I had met Jonathan some time earlier when I was attached to another Corporation and when he rang for help I came in and a year later I am still here.
What do you do at MK?
My title is Business Administration Manager, I manage the office and the financial side of the business.
What difference do you think you and MK are making in the community?
Improving the health of all, getting in early with the children gives all a better opportunity to grow and flourish.
Why is Indigenous Health important to you?
Simply, because it is.
What’s your favourite thing about working and representing MK in the community?
For me it is learning about the culture and having the community come to MK for reasons other than their health.
Where do you think your role and MK will take you in the future?
My role is to stay in the background, keep MK running smoothly and training someone to take on this role once I retire (again).
